Getting Started

Welcome to Photohitch!
Follow the steps below to get started.

If you’re a visitor, use the location search on the home page or the top of any other page to find photographers in your local area. You can further limit your search by using the additional filters available.

If you’re a photographer, a special welcome to you. We’re excited to see you join the Photohitch community and see great things for the future. If you haven’t already, register as a photographer here. With a free account you’ll be able to create and manage your photography business listing and have access to a single client gallery which you can use at your discretion. You can delete and create as many galleries as you want – just one at a time. Upgrade your membership level to get access to more galleries.

CREATING YOUR LISTING

Once you are set up as a photographer, you’re ready to create your listing. Do this by navigating to your dashboard from your profile dropdown menu. Then at the top of the page you’ll see “Add Listing” as shown here:

The next page will walk you through the process step by step.

Be sure to add your own website, if you have one, as well as any other contact info you want to provide.

Benefits of your listing

With your listing you’ll have access to:

    * Create your own lead form

    * Offer and track coupon codes

    * An inbox for when clients reach out to you through Photohitch

    * See and manage reviews

    * Optional ad campaigns to promote your listing in search results

Access all of these features through your Dashboard

Creating a Client Gallery

To create a client gallery, simply hover over the Client Galleries menu and click on New Gallery, or you can click on Client Galleries and create a new gallery from there.

Give your gallery a name and a password. You will not need the password to access the gallery after creation, but your client will.

Decide whether you want your client to be able to download the images. You may not if you are just showing proofs.

Finally, upload your images. The upload process may take several minutes depending on the file sizes and your internet connection. Be patient and don’t click submit multiple times.

Reach out with Questions!
